形態特徵

Small deciduous or semideciduous trees or shrubs with brown, tomentose branches.
Levaes papery, tomentose, broadly rhomboid, long-obovate, obovate, lanceolate to linear, 8–25 cm long, 5–9 cm wide, acute or cuspidate at apex, cordate, truncate or subacute at base, entire or undulate at margins, with 3–5 main veins from base, primary lateral veins 5–10 pairs, prominent beneath; petioles pubescent, 1.5–4 cm long; stipules membranaceous, reddish-brown, puberulous, broadly ovate or triangular-lanceolate, ca. 1 cm long, fugaceous.
Male and gall or female Flowers together; male Flowers many and scattered, pedicels variable in length, perianth-lobes 3–5, linear, stamens 2–3, filaments short; gall Flowers pedicellate, perianth 4–5-parted, ovary smooth, short stipitate, obliquely obovoid, style lateral, short, stigma dilated; female Flowers sessile or pedicellate, the perianth 4–6-parted, the ovary smooth, more or less oblique-globose or obovoid, the style lateral, long-filiform, the stigma tapering.
Receptacles yellowish-red, orange-red to dark-red, solitary or paired, axillary, globose, 1.5–2.5 cm long, pubescent or hispid; basal bracts 3, slightly pubescent; stalks slender, pubescent, 1–1.5 cm long.

分布

台灣 : Very common at low altitudes.
世界 : S China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and the Ryukyus.
