形態特徵

Large evergreen trees; aerial roots pendulous from large branches, reaching the ground and rooting, forming new trunks; bark gray-white, glabrous; branches gray-white, glabrous.
Levaes coriaceous, glabrous, broadly elliptic or ovate, 6–14 cm long, 3.5–8 cm wide, short-cuspidate at apex, rounded or obtuse at base, entire, midrib prominent beneath, primary lateral veins 8–10 pairs, parallel veins many; petioles 1–2 cm long; stipules 2, linear to lanceolate, 1.2–1.5 cm long, glabrous, fugaceous.
All male, female and gall Flowers in one set; male Flowers short pedicellate, perianth lobes 3–4, stamen 1, filament rather long; gall Flowers long pedicellate, perianth 3–4-lobed, ovary ovoid to ellipsoid, smooth, style short, sublateral, stigma dilated; female Flowers sessile, perianth-lobes 3, ovary ovoid, smooth, style long, sublateral, stigma elongate.
Receptacles red with white dots, paired, sessile, axillary, glabrous, depressed-globose, 1–1.5 cm across, basal bracts 3, persistent, glabrous, triangular-ovate.

分布

台灣 : On the Hengchun Peninsula, Penghu, Lanyu and Lutao islands.
世界 : S China including Hainan Is., Indochina, Thailand, Myanmar, India and throughout Malaysia, the Philippines, New Guinea to Solomon Isls., N. Australia and New Britain Isls.
