形態特徵

• Perennial herbs. Rhizomes yellowish, ca. 1 cm in diam., often with ellipsoid tubers. Pseudostem 30- 60 cm long.
• Leaves oblanceolate, ligule inconspicuous, entire, ca. 2 mm tall, membranaceous; petiole 1-2 cm long, with decurrent wing; leaf blade oblanceolate or elliptic, 20-30 by 4-8 cm, glabrous or abaxially pubescent, apex caudate.
• Inflorescences arising from rhizomes, ellipsoid, 5-7 cm long; peduncle 5-10 cm long, with 4-6 scale-like sheaths; bracts pale green, reddish brown towards apex, margin purple red, oblong, apex obtuse, margin incurved; bracteoles tubular, 2.4 cm long, pale green, apex purple red; calyx tubular, pale yellowish green, ca. 1 cm long, apex truncate, split unilaterally; corolla tube ca. 2.5 cm long, gradually wider towards apex, yellowish; dorsal corolla-lobe lanceolate, 14 by 5-6 mm; lateral corolla lobes narrower, narrow triangular, ca. 14 by 4 mm, revolute; labellum 3-lobed, rhombic, yellowish, ca. 12 mm long; central lobe spatulate, ca. 11 by 5 mm, apex dentate; lateral lobes oblanceolate, ca. 6 by 3.5 mm, apex dentate; anther ca. 8 mm long; connective appendage ca. 6 mm long; ovary sericeous.
• Capsule ovoid to ellipsoid, enclosed in persistent bract, loculicidally dehiscent; pericarp orange inside. Seeds black; aril white, saclike, apex lacerate.

• 世界 : southern Taiwan.
