形態特徵

• Creeping fleshy shrubs; with lateral branches short, spreading, glabrous except young branch-lets hirsute.
• Leaves sessile, fascicled, often crowded at ends of branchlets, linear-spatulate, apex obtuse, base attenuate, 2–4 cm long, 2–4 mm wide, entire, midrib absent or obscure, blade shiny green, fleshy, glabrous to naked eye.
• Flowers axillary, solitary, sessile to short-petiolate, bibracteate, 8 cm wide; calyx adnate to ovary, 5-lobed, lobes triangular, calyx tube glabrous, 4 mm long; corolla pink turning white, glandular and spinulate hairy within, lobes 5 mm long, elliptic, deeply divided, corolla tube 6 mm long; stamens 5, alternate with corolla lobes; anthers 1 mm long; style reflexed, apex dilated, hairy; stigma bilobed, ovary green, glabrous, 2-celled, one ovule 1 per cell, placentation basal.
• Drupe ellipsoid, 6–7 mm long, 4–6 mm wide, pale green, black when mature.

分布

• 台灣 : known only from the southwestern coast between Sinkang and Chianggun, on saline sand near coastal beaches, rare.
• 世界 : Indochina, Hainan.
