形態特徵

An erect herb, 5–40 cm tall; stem pubescent or subpubescent.
Leaves opposite, the pairs subequal, oblong to elliptic, (4.6-)6.0–9.7(–11.5) cm long, (l.5-)2.2–3.5(–3.7) cm broad, apex acute to acuminate, base cuneate, glabrous or subpubescent above, densely hairy along veins beneath, margin entire or ciliated; petioles 0.5–2.5 cm long, pubescent; stipules broadly ovate to elliptic, 0.3-0.7 cm long, 0.2-0.5 cm broad.
Inflorescences l–4-flowered in axillary or terminal corymbiform; pedicels long hairy, 0.8–5.5 cm long. Flowers white, 0.3-0.7 cm long, 1.2–2.0 cm in diam.; calyx 5-lobed, the lobes triangular-ovate, 0.15-0.3 cm long, pubescent outside, glabrous inside; corolla 5-lobed, the lobes oblong to ovate, ciliate at margin; stamens 5, inserted at the base of corolla, connate; filaments absent or to 0.l cm long; anthers 0.l5-0.3 cm long, longitudinal slit; connective larger than the anther, papillate; upper sterile appendages 0.l5-0.3 cm long; styles filiform, 0.5–1.0 cm long, glabrescent, stigma shallowly 2-lobed or capitate, ovary inferior.
Fruit a capsule with persistent calyx, 0.4-0.9 cm in diam.. Seeds minute, reticulate with a ring on each surface.

分布

台灣 : Found only in the east part of Taiwan and on rocks along a shaded river and in the forests on Lanyu Island.
