A shrub; branchlets quadrangular, slightly pubescent.
Leaves ovate lanceolate to lanceolate, subcoriaceous, 3–3.5 cm long, 0.6–1.5 cm wide, emarginate to obtuse at the apex, acute to cuneate at the base; petioles about 1 mm long, sparsely pilose. Inflorescence a axillary raceme; rachis densely pilose.
Stami¬nate flowers 6–8 in inflorescence; sepals orbicular to ovate, convex, pubescent at dorsal side, 2–2.5 mm long; stamens about 4 mm long, the anthers about 1.2 mm long; rudimentary ovary with a style about 1 mm long. Pistillate flowers terminal in inflorescence; sepals ovate, convex, sparsely pilose at dorsal side, 2.5 3 mm long; stigma obcordate.
