形態特徵

An evergreen tree, ferrugineous tomentose on the young part.
Leaves even-pinnate, alternate or nearly opposite; leaflets coriaceous, pinkish on young ones, lanceolate, oblong or obovate, acute at apex, obtuse or cuneate at base, entire, 7–15 cm long, 3–6 cm broad, glabrous on both surfaces; the lateral veins 8–10-paired.
Inflorescence paniculate, terminal, pubescent. Flowers polygamous, small, 3 mm across; petals absent, calyx small, valvate, oblanceolate-oblong, 4–5-lobed; stamens 7, filament pubescent, 2-glands on the base in the male flower; in the female flower the calyx campanulate, 4–5-valvate; ovary superior, 2–4-celled with one ovule in each cell, styles 2.
ruit drupe, spherical or ovoid, 3–4 mm across, red-purple, pericarp emargence. Seed dark brownish, glabrous, covered with a mucilaginous aril.
