形態特徵

• A small tree, branchlets glabrous; bark lenticellate.
• Leaves alternate, imparipinnate, about 18 cm long, the leaflets 5–7, chartaceous, elliptic, caudate at apex, attenuate at base, 7–12 cm long, 3–5 cm broad, terminal ones largest, glabrous, the margins entire, the lateral veins 6–8 on each side of the midrib, prominent on both surfaces; petiolules about 5 mm long.
• Inflorescences paniculate, pubescent, axillary. Flower buds globose, about 1.5 mm in diameter, pubescent, the pedicels 2–3 mm long; calyx cup-shaped, 5-fid, dentate, 1.2 mm long; petals 5, oblong, about 2.5 mm long, concave, valvate; staminal tube subglobose, crenulate at mouth, the anthers 10, ovoid, half exserted; disc cupular; ovary pubescent, the style very short, the stigma capitate.
• Capsule globose, glabrous, about 3 cm across, 3 valved.

分布

• 台灣 : known only from Is. Lanyu.
• 世界 : From the Andaman through Malaysia to New Guinea and north as far as north Luzon.
