An evergreen tree or shrub.
Leaves ferruginous-tomentose when young, elliptic, obovate-oblong or obovate, 4–8 cm long, 1.5–4 cm wide, rotundate to obtuse at apex, obtuse-decurrent at base, glabrous on both surfaces, the upper surface deep green, the lower surface pale green, entire or slightly serrate and revolute; stipules ferruginous-tomentose, lanceolate, about 2 mm long. Inflorescence a terminal panicle, brownish tomentose;
Flowers white; calyx-tube campanulate, 5-lobed, the lobes triangular, about 2 mm long, 2 mm wide; petals 5 or more, spathulate-obovate, 7–9 mm long, 4–5 mm wide, the apex irregularly wrinkled; styles 2–3-parted.
Fruits globose, 6–8 mm across.
