形態特徵

A small tree, the young branchlets glabrescent to pubescent.
Leaves ovate-elliptic to ovate-oblong, obtuse to sometimes acutish, attenuate at base, duplicate-crenate, or rarely simple-crenate, pilose on both surfaces when young, more or less scabrid above when mature, glabrous or pubescent on veins beneath, the veins prominently reticulated; stipules subulate, glandular, often fimbriate below, as long as or longer than the petioles; petioles 3–4 mm long.
Flowers 1 or 2, the tube broadly campanulate, the lobes oblong, glandular-serrulate, 3-nerved, reflexed, longer than the tube; petals pink, obovate to elliptic, about 7 mm long, 4 mm wide; styles slightly pilose; ovary glabrous.
Fruits ellipsoid, acutish.

分布

台灣 : in primary forests at medium altitudes.
世界 : Southern China.

引證標本

The present species was described by Maximowicz based partly on the specimen of Oldham 105 from Taiwan. No specimens other than it have been seen in Taiwan.
