Branchlets densely dark brownish-gray tomentose when dry.
Leaves obovate-oblong, 8.5-13 cm long, 3.5-8 cm broad, short acute to obtuse at apex, acute to cuneate at base, deep brown, glabrate above, grayish-brown and minutely lepidote beneath when dry, midrib impressed, slightly elevated to concave above and prominently elevated, pubescent beneath, lateral veins 5-7 pairs, slightly elevated to concaved above, elevated beneath, veinlets indistinctly transversely reticulate above, distinct beneath; petioles 1-1.5 cm long, brown tomentose when dry.
Inflorescneces umbellate; (*flowering April to November;) staminate umbels 3 or 4-flowered; pedicel 1 mm long, pubescent; tepals 6, pubescent outside, lobes obovate 4.5 mm long, 2.5 mm broad; fertile stamens 9-12(-15), subequal, 5 mm long, filaments barbate; reduced ovary minute; pistillate cymose-umbels 4 or 5-flowered, axillary, subsessile to short pedicelled, pedicels 1 mm long, sericeous; involucral bracts globose, sericeous outside, ciliate, 6 mm long; pistillate flowers campanulate, 3 mm long; tepals 6, parted, subequal, ovate 1.5 mm long, acute to cuspidate-acute at apex; staminodes 9-12, linear to subulate, 1.5 mm long, barbate; ovary obovoid, 1.25 mm long, style 2.5 mm long, attenuate, stigma discoid, 2-3-lobed.
Berry ellipsoid, 1 cm long, 6 mm broad, glabrous.
