形態特徵

• Deciduous shrubs to small trees; trunk to 5 m tall, straight; bark brown-gray; branches fragile, slightly fragrant, brown, glabrous when dry; young branchlets villous; buds 6-8 mm long, 3-5 mm broad, scales usually tomentose outside, outermost rarely 1 or
• Leaves alternate, appearing with young flowers, oblong to oblong-obovate, acute at both ends, entire, somewhat undulate, 3-6.4 cm long, 2-4 cm broad, densely sericeous on both surfaces when young, later with greenish white hairs on veins beneath, midrib slightly elevated above, distinctly elevated beneath, lateral veins 5-7 pairs, slightly elevated or oncave above, elevated beneath; petioles 2-4 mm long, pubescent; dry Leaves often persistent at branchlets in winter, falling in spring.

• Berry globose, 6-7 mm across, black, glabrous; peidcels 1 cm long, tomentose.

分布

• 台灣 : in the grasslands and thickets in lowlands throughout the island, such as at Tamsui near Taipei and Tatushan, and Taichung.
• 世界 : China and Japan?.
