形態特徵

• Perennial herb; rhizomes slender; stems few-branched, branches simple, erect, 10-20 cm long.
• Radical leaves approximate, lanceolate, 5-8 cm long, 5-7 mm wide, acuminate at apex, long-attenuate and somewhat dilated and semi-amplexicual at base, entire, sessile, glabrous on both sides, midrib inconspicuous above, prominently elevated and distinct beneath, veins and veinlets inconspicuous; cauline leaves linear to linear-lanceolate, 4-7 cm long, 3-3.5 mm wide, apex acuminate, usually smaller upward.
• Flowers terminal, 1 or 2, erect; pedicels 1.5-2 cm long, glabrous; bracts opposite, 5-seriate, the lowest ones smallest, linear, 5-6 mm long, 1 mm wide, acute at apex, upper ones ovate, 1-1.2 cm long, 3-4 mm wide, short cuspidate at apex; calyx cylindric, 2.8-3.2 cm long, 4 mm wide, multinerved, green, tinged purple, lobes lanceolate, 6-8 mm long, 1.2-1.5 mm wide, glabrous, acute or acuminate; petals with an elongate claw, 5-5.5 cm long, glabrous, claw linear, 3-3.5 cm long, 0.3-2.5 mm wide, white, lamina ovate or round-ovate, 1.8-2.2 cm long, 1.2-1.5 cm wide, pink, usually short fimbriate upward, stamens 4-5, rarely 6, filaments 3.5-4 cm long, white, tinged with pink upward, anthers oblong, l-1.5 mm long, 0.5 mm wide, light purplish; staminodes (4-)5-6, of filaments only; ovary cylindric, green, 8-9 mm long, 1-1.2 mm wide, glabrous, styles 2, distinct, 3-3.5 cm long, linear, white-pubescent.
• Seeds oblong, 1.5 mm long, black, apiculate at apex.
• Characterized by larger flowers and short-frimbriate petals.
