形態特徵

Small tree, evergreen, with dark reddish-brown bark.
Leaves alternate, semi-coriaceous or chartaceous, oblong, obovate-oblong, or lanceolate, 8–15 cm long, 2.5–3 cm broad, apex acute, acuminate, or obtuse, base cuneate, entire or sometimes remotely serrate, lateral veins 6–8 pairs; petioles 5–15 mm long.
Racemes axillary, rachis glabrous or very slightly light brown-pubescent when young; pedicels 2–4 mm long; perianth-tube 10–12 mm long, segments white or yellowish-white; glands 4; ovary glabrous.
Fruits nut-like, black, globose or somewhat ellipsoid, indehiscent, about 10 mm across.

分布

台灣 : in broad-leaved forests in lowlands.
世界 : S mainland China, Vietnam, Cambodia,Thailand, the Ryukyus and Japan.
