形態特徵

Medium-sized evergreen trees with dark brown bark, branches reddish-brown, branchlets pubescent.
Levaes coriaceous, glabrous on both sides, oblanceolate to oblong, 8–20 cm long, 3–6.5 cm wide, acute at apex, obtuse or cuneate at base, entire, with 3 main veins from base, midrib and lateral veins prominent beneath, primary lateral veins 8–11 pairs; petioles scurfy, 1.5–2.5 cm long; stipules lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, ca. 1 cm long, membranaceous, pale brown, pubescent, fugaceous.
Male, gall and female Flowers mixed; male Flowers few, near apex of receptacle, perianth lobes 3–5, stamen 1, filament short; gall Flowers pedicallate, perianth lobes 3–4, ovary ovoid, style sublateral, short, stigma dilated; perianth lobes of female Flowers 3–4, ovary ovoid, style slender, terminal or sublateral, the sitgma elongate.
Receptacles yellow or reddish-brown, solitary or paired, axillary, globose, 1–1.2 cm across, glabrous; basal bracts none; stalks slender.

分布

台灣 : At low altitudes in broad-levaed forests throughout the island.
世界 : India, Sri lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, S China, Hong Kong, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines.
