Scandent shrubs, generally on limestone; branchlets pale brown, glabrous.
Levaes thick-coriaceous, glabrous, obovate to elliptic, 5.2–9 cm long, 3.5–5.5 cm wide, rounded to obtuse at apex, cuneate at base, entire, basal veinlets 3, midrib prominent beneath, primary lateral veins 6–9 pairs; petioles stout, 0.8–1.4 cm long, brown and grooved above; stipules membranaceous, linear-lanceolate, 1.5–3 cm long, glabrous or minutely pubescent.
Male, gall and female Flowers mixed; male Flowers many, scattered, short pedicellate to sessile, perianth lobes 3–4, stamen 1, filament stout and short; gall Flowers scattered, pedicellate or sessile, perianth lobes 3–5, ovary smooth, globose, style short, stigma dilated; female Flowers scattered sessile, perianth-lobes 3–5, ovary smooth, ovoid, lateral style slender.
Receptacles reddish violet, globose, 1.4 cm across.

台灣 : On limestone along the seashore on the Hengchun Peninsula especially in Oluangpi Park and on adjacent Lanyu Island.
世界 : Batan Island, the Philippines.
