Plants 10-20 cm tall. Stems terete, slender, greenish or tinged with purple, 5-15 cm long, 3-6 mm in diam., creeping below, producing new shoots from middle.
Leaves 4-9, green or slightly flushed with purple, lower surface often flushed with purple especially along veins, obliquely elliptic, 4-7 (-12) cm long, 2-4 cm wide, apex acute, base decurrent into sheathing petiole; petiole 3-4 cm long, base surrounding stem.
Peduncle green or purplish, 5 or 6-ridged, to 8 cm long; flower bearing portion of raceme 6-8 cm long; bract greens or purple, lanceolate, 4-5 mm long, reflexed; pedicel and ovary 3-4 mm long, with 6 obtuse ridges. Flowers dense, pale green or tinged with orange-red; sepals ellipticoblong, 2-3 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, obtuse at apex, lateral ones slightly contracted, oblique at base; petals linear-oblong, as long as sepals, 0.5 mm wide, slightly oblique; lip elliptic, 3-4 mm long, 2.5-3.5 mm wide, base continuous into 2 falcate-triangular auricles surrounding column, apically 3-lobed, lateral lobes triangular, central lobe longest, ovate-triangular, retuse or bifid at apex, with 1 or 2, rarely 3, teeth between lateral and central lobes; column 1 mm long, with 2 broad wings at apex; anther whitish or tinged with green, ovate, 0.5 mm long; pollinia elongate ovate; stigma slit-like; rostellum white, rectangular, as long as column wing, thin membranaceous.
Capsules ellipsoid, 8-13 mm long, pedicel 3-5 mm long.
