形態特徵

• Terrestrial herbs. Stems cylindrical, fleshy, 10-30 cm long, 1-1.5 cm in diam.
• Leaves 5-7, ovateoblong, 10-20 cm long, 5-8 cm wide, apex acute, base oblique, plicate, membranaceous.
• Peduncle and rachis dark purple or rarely green and tinged with purple, 20-40 cm long, distinctly winged; bracts triangular, purplish, 5-7 mm long; pedicel and ovary 15-20 mm long, sharply 6-ridged. Flowers ca. 20-50, dark purplish red, perianth widely spreading; dorsal sepal linear, revolute, 18-20 mm long, 2.5-3 mm wide, acute or obtuse at apex, often bent backward, 3-5-nerved; lateral sepals oblique, ovate-lanceolate, 13-15 mm long, 4-5 mm wide, obtuse at apex, often reflexed and twisted, hidden by recurved lip, 5- nerved; petals linear, strongly revolute, 14-17 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, 1- or 2-nerved; lip obovatecuneate, 14-18 mm long, 13-14 mm wide, base cuneate, erect-ascending, entire, recurved downward abruptly near middle, recurved portion broadly obovate, apex truncate, slightly emarginate, margins denticulate; disc with a wedged-shape depression in center, with 2 acute calli at base; column pale green or purplish, 6-8 mm long, arcuate, slightly wing apically, sometimes with low ridges on ventral side; anther yellowish green or purplish, nearly orbicular, 1.5 mm across; pollinia obliquely ovoid, 1.2 mm long.
• Capsules ellipsoid, 2-2.5 mm long, pedicel 1-1.5 cm long.

分布

• 台灣 : forests below 1,000 m in the north and south.
• 世界 : Southern China, Vietnam and Thailand.
