形態特徵

• Terrestrial herbs. Rhizomes creeping, apex ascending into a short stem, leafy upward.
• Leaves ovate, 2-3 cm long, 1-1.3 cm wide, green but with a white band along midrib.
• Peduncle up to 10 cm long, glabrous at base, shortly hairy upward, with 2-4 bract-like glabrous sheaths; rachis 4-7 cm long, 10-20- flowered; floral bracts pale green, glabrous, entire. Flowers white, tinged with red-brown; ovary 7-8 mm long, glabrous or sparsely hairy; sepals white, tinged with red, concave, glabrous, dorsal one oblong, 6-6.5 mm long, 2-2.3 mm wide, acute at apex, lateral ones obliquely ovate-lanceolate, 6-7 mm long, 3-3.2 mm wide, acute at apex; petals rhombic-spatulate, 6-7 mm long, 2-2.5 mm wide, obtuse at apex, forming a hood with dorsal sepal; lip undivided, 5-6 mm long, base saccate, glabrous within, limb lanceolate, acute at apex, white tinged with red below, with a patch of protuberant cells on central part, cells sharp at apex; column 2-3 mm long; anther broadly ovate; pollinia 2, sectile, (uncommon among <i>Goodyera</i> species); stigma protruding; rostellar arms slender; viscidium elliptic-lanceolate, 0.8 mm long.

分布

• 台灣 : coniferous forests at 2,500-3,000 m in the central mountains of Taiwan.
