Autotrophic plants. Pseudobulbs ovate, ca. 3 cm tall, 2-2.5 cm in diam., with 4-5 internodes.
Leaves appearing after anthesis, 2-4, grass-like, linear, 10-25 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, acute to acuminate.
Scapes arising from upper nodes of pseudobulb, erect, slender, simple, 20-40 cm long, with a few purplish sheaths; flower bearing portion of racemes 10-15 cm long; bracts lanceolate, 5-10 mm long, acute; pedicel and ovary about 7-11 mm long. Flowers several, purplish, perianth connivent, more or less pendulous; sepals linear-oblong, 8-13 mm long, 1.5-2.5 mm wide, acute, lateral ones slightly oblique; petals connivent above column, similar to sepals but slightly shorter, acute; lip spurred at base, blade greenish, with purplish veins, oblong or obovate in outline when expanded, 8-12 mm long, 5-6.5 mm wide, 3- lobed, lateral lobes erect, ovate-triangular, obtuse or acute at apex; midlobe nearly orbicular, 3 mm long, 4 mm wide, wavy-crisped along margin, disc with 3 parallel crest-like keels, papillose on midlobe, spur 4-5 mm long, tapering toward apex; column slender, 6.5 mm long, with short foot about 1 mm long; anther conic, with one process at apex, 1 mm tall; pollinia ovoid-globose, grooved, with short broad stipe and triangular viscidium; stigma semiorbicular, concave.
