形態特徵

• Plant delicate, small, tufted, rooting at basal nodes.
• Blade linear, 10-15 cm long, 1-2 mm wide; ligule ca. 0.3 mm long, fimbriate.
• Inflorescence a single spike or 2-3 digitate spikes, spike ca. 7 cm long. Spikelets 2-flowered, sessile, ca. 4 mm long; glumes membranaceous, siliceous abaxially, conspicuously 1-nerved, lanceolate, acute; lower glume 1/3 their length of upper one; upper glume aristate. Lower floret fertile; lemma subcoriaceous, margins inrolled, 3-nerved, siliceous abaxially, ca. 3.5 mm long, minutely 2-toothed, midrib prolonged into an awn, awn slightly longer than lemma; palea linear, elliptic, of same texture and length as lemma, 2-keeled, siliceous on upper part.
• Caryopsis ca. 3 mm long; embryo 1/3 its length of caryopsis.

• 台灣 : Locally this grass is distributed only in southern Taiwan.
