形態特徵

• Culms 30-60 cm tall.
• Blades linear, 10-15 cm long, 5-15 mm wide; ligule chartaceous, tongue shaped, minutely hispid abaxially, 2.5 mm long.
• Panicle open, compound, 10-30 cm long. Spikelets nodding, with 2 or 3 florets, disarticulating when mature, 1.4-3 cm long; glumes chartaceous, nearly equal, rounded abaxially.
• lower glume 11-nerved, sometimes connected with tessellate nerves; upper glume 9-nerved, acute; lemma densely bearded abaxially, callus scar of first lemma distinct, rimmed; awn absent to long and geniculate awn arising from backside; palea flattened, 2-keeled, margins ciliate. Lodicules entire. Caryopsis hairy; hilum linear.

• 世界 : Native to Europe and Western Asia, widely spread in all Eastern Asia.
