形態特徵

• Annual. Rhizome weak, poorly developed. Culms slender, ascending, loosely tufted, 10-30 cm tall, sharply 3-angled, several-noded. Basal leaves deciduous.
• Leave blade 1-5 cm by 2-5 mm, soft, light green, abruptly narrowed to obtusish apex; sheaths trigonous, wingless; contraligule non.
• Inflorescence consisting of 5-20 globular clusters; peduncles very short, bracts leafy, sheathed. Spikelets bisexual, terminated by a pistillated flower; floral scales 3-4, membranaceous, pale; staminate flowers with 1 anther.
• Achene globose, terete to slightly trigonous, 0.75-1 mm in diam., tightly enveloped in 2 subtending scales and falling with them, grayish to slightly yellowish, hispidulous at apex; stigmas 3.

分布

• 台灣 : in open wet place at low altitude.
• 世界 : Sri Lanka, India, southern China, Japan, southeastern Asia, Australia and Micronesia.
