形態特徵

• Suffrutescent herbs to 80 cm tall; stems much branched, quadrangular, densely hirsute.
• Leaves short-petiolate or subsessile, long-elliptic or oblong-lanceolate, 7–14 cm long, 2–4 cm wide, apex acuminate, base gradually narrowed, margins serrate, densely hirsute on both surfaces.
• Cymules axillary or terminal, rarely branched; peduncle 1–4 cm long; bracts concave, slightly ciliate, outermost pair subfoliaceous, linear-lanceolate, fugacious, inner ones 4 or more, imbricate, broadly ovate, caducous, sometimes persistent till long after anthesis; calyx segments linear, ca. 1 cm long, slightly hirsute; corolla 3–3.5 cm long, finely puberulent outside, limb 5-lobed, lobes orbicular, emarginate; filaments sparingly pilose near base; anther cells shortly oblong; ovary oblong-ovoid, glandular-hairy at apex; style to 2.5 cm long, with few glandular hairs.
• Capsule spatulate-ellipsoid, 2 cm long; seeds 4, ovoid-compressed, appressed villous.
