Herb to 20 cm tall; stems diffuse or creeping, much branched, pubescence appressed.
Leaves small, narrowly oblong or spatulate, 8–15 mm long, 3–5 mm wide, apex obtuse, base gradually narrowed, margins entire, slightly pubescent on both surfaces; petioles 2–3 mm long.
Spikes terminal, to 1 cm long; bracts oblanceolate or broadly elliptic, leaf-like, ca. 4.5 mm long, ciliate; bracteoles linear; calyx segments narrow, subequal; corolla pale or white, to 5 mm long puberulent outside, limb bilabiate, upper lip erect, triangular, retuse at tip, lower lip spreading, 3-lobed, lobes subequal, orbicular; anthers oblong, cells slightly divariate at base; staminodes reduced to teeth; ovary hairy at apex; stigma simple.
Capsule lanceolate, glabrous; seeds many, ovate.
