形態特徵

  • Trees to 20 m tall, branches glabrescent.
  • Leaves widely ovate, 10–30 cm long, 8–30 cm wide, apex acute to acuminate, base cordate, margins entire or rarely shallowly 3–5-lobed, sparsely glandular above, tomentose below; petiole 10–17 cm long.
  • Inflorescence pyramidal; ultimate cyme 3–5-flowered, pedunculate. Pedicels 8–15 mm long. Calyx 10–15 mm long, funnelform, divided 1/3 its length. Corolla light purple with deep violet spots on yellow throat, 5–6 cm long, with glandular and dendroid hairs.
  • Capsule globose-ovoid, 3–4.5 cm long.

分布

  • 世界 : A natural hybrid, possibly from middle elevation broad-leaved forests in the center, now widely cultivated.
