生活型

形態特徵

  • Medium sized deciduous trees to 10 m tall, branches brownish, glabrous.
  • Leaves elliptic to oblong, obovate-oblong, 5–12 cm long, 2–5 cm wide, apex acuminate to short-caudate, bases attenuate, margins entire, glabrescent or obscurely scabrous on both surfaces; petioles 0.5–1 cm long, grooved above.
  • Inflorescences terminal or rarely lateral. Flowers yellowish white, hermaphroditic, subsessile. Calyx cup shaped, 1–2 mm long, glabrous, lobes 5, ovate, margins sparselyciliolate. Corolla funnelform, 9–11 mm long; lobes 5, oblong to obovate, 2–4 mm long, slightly reflexed. Stamens long exserted, filaments 7–10 mm long, anthers ca. 1 mm long. Styles 7–9 mm long, stigma 2-lobed.
  • Fruit pale yellow, subglobose, 6–15 mm in diam., pyrenes4, 1-seeded or rarely 2, 2-seeded.

分布

  • 台灣 : in forests from low elevations to 750 m.
  • 世界 : S. China and Indochina.
