形態特徵

• Vines; stems herbaceous, hirsute throughout, twining.
• Leaves ovate to widely ovate, 3–10 cm long, 1.5–6 cm wide, base cordate, apex acute to abruptly acuminate, glabrescent.
• Flowers in dense head-like cymose inflorescences, many-flowered, flowers opening few at a time, densely hirsute with reddish to brownish indumentum; sepals lanceolate, 10–15 mm long, 1–3 mm wide, acuminate, hirsute with yellowish-brown trichomes; corollas blue or nearly white, 1 cm long, interplicae glabrous.
• Fruit capsular, enclosed in sepals and subfoliose bracts, globose, 4–5 mm in diam., light brown, glabrous; seeds orange-brown, 2.5 mm long, glabrous.

分布

• 台灣 : naturalized and usually in disturbed sites.
• 世界 : Native of tropical America.
