形態特徵

Evergreen trees to 13 m tall; branchlets fulvous-tomentose.
Leaves thin chartaceous, oblong-lanceolate, 7–10 cm long, 2–3 cm wide, acute to acuminate at apex, acute to obtuse at base, entire, glabrous to puberulous along midrib above, pale and tomentose along midrib and veins beneath, lateral veins 4 or 5 pairs; petioles 2–4 mm long, tomentose.
Male flowers 4-merous, 4 or 5 in short axillary cymes; pedicels very short, pubescent; calyx deeply lobed, puberulous; corolla puberulous, shallowly lobed, lobes narrowly ovate or lanceolate; female flowers axillary, solitary, subsessile; calyx densely fulvous-villous, deeply lobed, lobes oblong, ca. 3 mm long and 1 mm broad; corolla ca. 9 mm long, densely villous outside; filaments and anthers densely villous.
Fruit ovoid, 15–20 mm long, 8–10 mm across, acute, villous.

分布

台灣 : common in forests at low altitudes throughout the island.
世界 : Southern China to Malaysia, the Ryukyus.
