特徵描述

生活型

shrub

形態特徵

  • Small shrub; branchlets puberulous when young.
  • Leaves subsessile, chartaceous or coriaceous, usually elliptic or obovate, 0.5–2.5 cm long, apex usually acute, sometimes obtuse or rounded, with mucronate, base acute or cuneate, aristate-serrulate above middle, glabrous or hirtellous along midrib above, usually punctate and glabrous beneath.
  • Flowers several in axillary fascicles, 4-merous; pedicels 0.5–1.5 mm long, puberulous or occasionally glabrous; sepals free or shortly united, lobes usually narrowly oblong, red-punctate, usually ciliate; petals twice as long as sepals, united ca. 1/2 their length, lobes usually long triangular or sometimes narrowly oblong, red-punctate, ciliate; stamens longer than petals.
  • Fruit globose, ca. 5 mm across.
  • his species needs further study because plants from Taiwan appear to be morphologically from those in Africa and elsewhere in Asia distinction.

  • 台灣 : in the center and east.
  • 世界 : The Azores, Africa, Afghanistan, NW India, Kashmir, Nepal, and China.
