形態特徵

  • Small trees; branchlets glabrous, sometimes spinose.
  • Leaves coriaceous, glabrous, ovate to oblong, 1.5–7.5 cm long, 0.9–3 cm broad, rounded to obtuse, acute at base, shallowly crenulate-serrate to subentire; the midrib, veins and reticulations raised on both surfaces; petioles short, 2–3 mm long.
  • Cymes terminal and axillary; flowers ca 6 mm across; pedicels 3–4 mm long; sepals 5–6, ovate, acute, 2 mm long; petals 5–6, pale yellow to white, elliptic, rounded, 2 mm long; stamens many; anthers dehiscing longitudinally; the connective glabrous; filaments 4 mm long.
  • Berry globose, 6–8 mm in diameter, with persistent style (4–5 mm long). Seeds 4–5.

分布

  • 台灣 : Common along the coast up to low altitudes.
  • 世界 : South China and the Philippines.
