形態特徵

• An annual herb.
• Leaves ovate, the apex acute, the base acute or obtuse, 2–6 cm long, 2–4 cm broad, the margins serrate or crenate, usually 5-nerved at base, tomentose on both surfaces; petioles 1.5–3 cm long; stipules filiform.
• Flowers terminal, in condensed spikes, subtended by bracts, the bracts ovate, about 5 mm long, pubescent; epicalyx-segments linear, pubescent; sepals triangular, pubescent; petals yellow, ovate, the staminal tube hairy; carpels 10–15, unarmed, with prominent veins.

分布

• 台灣 : Known only from Is. Hsiaoliuchiu.
• 世界 : A native of tropical America, now widely naturalized throughout the Tropics.
