形態特徵

A small evergreen tree.
Leaves coriaceous, opposite, unifoliolate, oblong to lanceolate, variable in size, mostly 8–12 cm long, (sometimes to 25 cm), 4–7 cm broad, acuminate to obtuse, cuneate at base, serrulate, glabrous on both surfaces, the lateral veins about 8 per side, slender, raised beneath; petioles terete, variable in length, mostly 3–5 cm long, dilated and jointed at apex.
Inflorescence a terminal or axillary panicle, 20–30 cm long; flowers about 6 mm across; calyx and petals yellowish white; stamens 5; ovary incompletely 3-celled.
Fruit globose, greenish or yellowish purple, about 8 mm across.

分布

台灣 : Very common in forests from sea level to 1,500 m throughout the island, especially common in the northern part.
