形態特徵

A shrub; stems pubescent, sparsely prickly.
Leaves simple, chartaceous, ovate to triangular-ovate in outline, 4–10 cm long, 4–7 cm wide, acuminate, truncate to cordate at base, not divided or shallowly 3-lobed, the margin dentate-serrate, 3–5-nerved at base, upper surface hairy especially on the midrib and veins, lower surface pale and pubescent; petioles 1.5–4 cm long, grooved above, pubescent and sparsely prickly; stipules linear, 5–7 mm long, outside pubescent, inside glabrous.
Flowers solitary or 2–3 in raceme, terminal or axillary; pedicels 1–1.5 cm long, pubescent; calyx-lobes triangular-lanceolate, 7–12 mm long, the apex long-pointed, outside pubescent and with some prickles, inside tomentose; petals ovate, 5–7 mm long, glabrous; stamens glabrous; styles up to 4 mm long, with long hairs at base.
Collective fruits globose, about 1 cm across.

分布

台灣 : Endemic. Common at altitudes of 1,500–2,800 m.
