形態特徵

• Suberect shrubs up to 2 m high; stems hairy when young, soon glabrous, with whitish bloom, sparsely prickled.
• Leaves imparipinnate, up to 25 cm long; leaflets 3–7, elliptic to rhombic, sometimes ovate-lanceolate, 2–7 cm long, 1–4 cm wide, the terminal leaflet sometimes lobed on one or both sides, the apex acute to acuminate, the base cuneate to rounded, margins serrate to biserrate, the basal part often entire, upper surface soft-hairy or glabrate, lower surface with wooly silvery-white felt of hairs all over, the midrib sometimes with some prickles; stipules linear, up to 8 mm long, inserted about 1 mm above the base on the petiole, hairy.
• Flowers forming a raceme or thyrse up to 10 cm long, terminal or axillary; pedicels up to 1 cm long; calyx tubular, the lobes triangular-ovate, 4–6 mm long, cuspidate to caudate, densely woolly; petals obovate, 3–5 mm long, pink; ovary about 1 mm long, hairy; style up to 2 mm long, also hairy at base.
• Collective fruits globular, 5–7 mm across, red.

分布

• 台灣 : Taiwan, common in eastern part at medium to high altitudes.
• 世界 : Continental Asia including Kashmir, Nepal, Sikkim, Assam, Thailand, Burma, Laos, Vietnam, S. India, and Southeastern China; Sri Lanka and Malesia.
