生活型

形態特徵

An erect shrub; stems brownish, tomentose when young, unarmed or with a few small prickles (up to 1 mm long).
Leaves simple, thinly coriaceous, broadly ovate to orbicular, 5–15 cm long; 5–14 cm wide, shallowly 3–5-lobed, acute to obtuse, broadly cordate and 5-nerved at base, unevenly serrate; venation reticulate, nerves and veins impressed above, raised and prominent beneath; upper surface dark, hairy, especially on the nerves, lower surface yellowish brown, tomentose; petioles 2–4 cm long; stipules oblong, 1–2 cm long, entire to pinnatipartite, hairy outside.
Inflorescence an axillary or terminal raceme, up to 10 cm long; pedicels 3–5 mm long, densely villose; bracts elliptic to transversely elliptic, dentate especially in the upper part, hairy outside; calyx cupular, the lobes triangular to ovate, 5–8 mm long, the apex acute to pointed, the outer lobes often with a few teeth, outside densely woolly, inside tomentellous; petals orbicular, 5–7 mm across, clawed, white, glabrous or with few hairs outside; filaments 3–4 mm long, with a few to several long hairs on top of anther; pistil 4–7 mm long, glabrous.

台灣 : Taiwan, common at low to medium altitudes.
世界 : Southern China.
