特徵描述

生活型

tree-shrub

形態特徵

  • A small deciduous tree or shrub, the branches glabrous.
  • Leaves elliptic or obovate, 2–4 cm long, 1–2 cm wide, the apex acute, the base cuneate, serrulate, the upper surface pubescent when young, glabrous at length, the secondary veins indistinct on both surfaces; petioles short, 1–2 mm long, glabrous. Inflorescence corymbose, densely white-villose;
  • Flowers 5–6 mm in diameter; pedicels slender, pubescent; calyx 5-lobed, the lobes broadly ovate, 3–3.5 mm long, 2.5–3 mm wide, the apex rounded, slightly cuspidate at the tip, whitish villose outside, glabrous inside; petals obovate, white, 4–5 mm long, 3.5–4.5 mm wide, the apex rounded, the base clawed.
  • Fruits ovoid, 6–7 mm long, glabrous or thinly pubescent, reddish when mature.

分布

  • 台灣 : usually in the northern part of the island at low or medium altitudes.
  • 世界 : Southern China.
