形態特徵

A shrub; branches slender, with dense trichomes.
Leaves chartaceous, ovate, 4–12 cm long, 2–5 cm broad, acute or acuminate at apex, cordatulate at base, mucronulate, dark and densely stellate-tomentose above, slightly scabrid, paler and stellate-villose beneath, the lateral veins 5 or 6 per side, petioles 3–5 mm long. Inflorescence a terminal raceme-like panicle to 15 cm long, densely fulvous-stellate-tomentose; pedicels 2–10 mm long.
Flowers pink; calyx tube 3 mm across; petals oblong, 8 mm long, 3–4 mm broad, obtuse; stamens 10, unequal, the filaments 5–7 mm long; styles 4; ovary 3-celled.
Capsule subglobose.

台灣 : In forests at low to medium altitudes of the northern and central mountains.
