形態特徵

  • Small deciduous glabrous Trees; branchlets with whitish lenticels.
  • Leaves alternate, 3-foliolate, clustered at tip of branchlets petioles, 7–17 cm long,; leaflets long obovate, entire, acute at apex, lateral leaflets rather asymmetric, 5–18 cm long, 3.5–5 cm wide, whitish beneath, lateral veins 4–7 pairs, veinlets obscure, petiolules short.
  • Flowers less than 20, in short terminal corymbs, 3.5 cm long, 3.5 cm wide, yellowish white, long pedicelled; sepals 4, oblong, 0.4 cm long; disc present, petals 4, long clawed, obovate, spatulate, ca. 2 cm long; stamens numerous, attached at base of gynophore, long exserted, filaments filiform, spreading; ovary ovoid, placentas 2.
  • Berries globose to ovoid, 6–7 cm long, pendulous; stipes slightly thickened, ca. 6 cm long; Seeds numerous, rounded-reniform, ca. 0.8 cm across.

分布

  • 台灣 : In lowlands throughout the island, especially abundant in the northern part. The typical phase occurs in the tropics and subtropics.
