形態特徵

Scandent or twining herbs or shrubs.
Leaf blades often polymorphic, chartaceous, cordiform, oblong-cordate, 6-15 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, apex obtuse or acuminate, base deeply cordate or auriculate, sometimes the two auricles widely separated and the blade appearing cordately 3-lobed, pinnately nerved, scabrous above, pubescent or tomentous beneath; petiole 2.5-7.5 cm long.
Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels 2-3 cm long, bracteole 1 clasping at midpoint; perianth tube bent, U-shaped, ca. 2 cm long; perianth limb 3-lobed, spreading, ca. 16 mm in diam.; ovary 8 mm long, densely pubescent; style column 3-lobed at the apex lobes not bifid.
Fruits oblong or ovoid-oblong, 4--5 cm long, 6-angular, dehiscing from apex toward base;seeds triangular or broadly ovoid, 5 mm long, 4 mm wide, concave-convex, longitudinally curved, testa smooth.
