特徵描述

生活型

形態特徵

  • Aquatic herbs; rhizomes slender.
  • Leaves elliptic, 5–6.5 cm long, 3–4.5 cm wide, shiny green above, usually purplish beneath; petioles 5–19 cm long, slender, slightly puberulous.
  • Flowers small, solitary, purple, 10–20 mm across; sepals 3; petals 3, linear, glabrous outside, puberulous inside; stamens ca. 30, filaments ca. 1 cm long, puberulous; carpels ca. 8, free, style and stigma puberulous; peduncles 5–10 cm long.
  • Fruit ca. 8 mm long, elliptic-ovoid, beaked.

分布

  • 台灣 : very rare, in a few ponds in Ilan County.
  • 世界 : Sporadically distributed in tropical and temperate regions of both the Old and New Worlds.
