形態特徵

Evergreen shrubs ; branchlets slender, pale grayish, angular and strongly sulcate, spines 2 or 3, slender, 1-1.5 cm long.
Leaves 3-5-fascicled, chartaceous, lanceolate or ovate, rarely elliptic, apex acute, mucronate-apiculate, base acute to obtuse, margins subentire to spinulose-serrate, glabrous on both surfaces, green above, pale or glaucous beneath, lateral veins 5-7 per side; teeth 3-7 per side, slender spinose ca. 1 mm long, appressed-ascending.
Flowers yellow, 4-7-fascicled, pedicles 0.8-1.8 cm long; sepals 12-15, in 3 series, the outer ovate, 2-3 mm long, acute, the inner mostly broadly ovate or obovate, 7-8 mm long, rounded; petals obovate or orbiculate, 2 mm long, emarginate at apex; ovules 2-5.
Berries ellipsoid, ca. 4 mm long, 2 mm across, dark bluish, stigma sessile.

台灣 : From 1,400 to 2,400 m in the central mountains throughout the island.
