Evergreen trees; branchlets terete, pubescent; terminal buds naked, pubescent.
Leaves opposite or rarely alternate, coriaceous, glabrous, ovate or ovate-elliptic, 4-6 cm long, 2-3 cm broad, abruptly acuminate at apex, obtuse at base, with 3 main veins, nearly without lateral veins, except 2 lateral main veins, reaching to upper 3/4 of midrib, midrib and lateral veins concave, veinlets indistinct, flat above, slightly elevated beneath, veinlets subparallel between the midrib and 2 lateral veins; petioles ca. 5-7 mm long, purplish, glabrous.
Inflorescence cymose-panicles, 2-6 cm long, terminal to axillary, yellowish-tomentose; tepals broadly ovate, 2 mm long, 1.5 mm broad, obtuse at apex, pubescent outside, villous inside; fertile stamens 9, ca. 1.6 mm long, filaments hirsute, 1st and 2nd whorles of stamens eglandular, anthers introrse, 3rd whorl extrorse, with 2 glands; staminodia, ovoid, stipitate; ovary globose, glabrous, style ca. l.4 mm long.
Fruit globose, 3 mm across.
