Climbing shrubs to 3 m tall; branchlets glabrous.
Leaves coriaceous, oblong to elliptic, 15-20 cm long, 4.5-5.5 cm broad, acuminate to acute, often rounded at apex, obtuse at base, glabrous on both surfaces, greenish-white to grayish-white beneath, lateral veins 10-19 pairs, prominent above; petioles 0.5-1 cm long.
Inflorescences of cymose racemes, terminal, to 6 cm long, yellow-tomentose; sepals 3, broadly triangular; petals 6, the outer ones broadly triangular-ovate, yellow-pubescent, inner ones narrowly triangular-ovate, whitish-pubescent; connectives triangular, enlarged; carpels brown-pubesc-ent, style longer, stigma 2-lobed; ovules 2
