形態特徵

Perennial herb; stems elongate, tufted, decumbent at base, 40-50 cm long, tinged with purpe, usually glandular pubescent.
Lower leaves long-petiolate, upper leaves sessile, ovate or broadly so, 2-5 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm wide, acuminate or acute at apex, cordate or nearly so at base, chartaceous, margins entire and wavy, 1-nerved, glabrous on both surfaces or slightly hairy along veins beneath; petiole 1-2 cm long, pubescent.
Flowers solitary, white, axillary, 5-8 mm in diam.; pedicels 1.5-2 cm long, slender, glandular hairy; sepals lanceolate, 4-6 mm long, glandular hairy outside, acute; petals deeply 2-lobed to base, lobes lanceolate, 5-7 mm long, obtuse; stamens 7-10, anthers orange-red; styles 5, reflexed upward.
Capsules broadly ovoid, as long as the sepals, 5-valved, each valve bifid; seeds ellipsoid, 0.7-0.8 mm long, mamillate, rusty-brown.

分布

台灣 : common weed throughout the island, roadsides and fields.
世界 : Widely distributed in temperate subtropical regions of S. China, Japan, the Ryukyus and the northern hemisphere.
