形態特徵

Perennial herbs; stems erect, to 1.3 m tall, with stinging hairs, glabrescent.
Leaves with stinging and velutinous hairs on both surfaces, widely depressed ovate to ovate, 6-13 cm long, 5.5-12 cm wide, base cordate, margins double serrate, with 1-3 small teeth on each side of the tooth, apex acute, acuminate or cuspidate; petioles 3-13 cm long; stipules 2, free, lateral, greenish, ovate, ca. 1 cm long, 7 mm broad, margins entire, apex obtuse to rounded.
Inflorescences unisexual, racemose spikes, male inflorescences on lower part of stem, to 12 cm long.
Achenes compressed ovoid, ca. 1.2 mm long, 0.8 mm wide.
