形態特徵

• Perennial herbs; stems erect or ascending, usually with purple-red spots.
• Leaves slightly unequal-paired, membranaceous, hirsutulous above, very minutely hirsutulous on veins beneath, narrowly elliptic to elliptic, 5-18.5 cm long, 2.5-7.5 cm wide, apex acuminate to caudate, with an entire acumine, margins coarsely sharp-serrate or -dentate, base cuneate, 3-nerved; petioles 1.0-10.0 cm long; stipules 2, connate at base, with many brown-red maculae, broadly deltoid or triangular, obscurely nerved, without middle nerve.
• Male inflorescences axillary, in cymose-paniculate glomerules; bracts free, fimbriate at margins, triangular; peduncles 4-8 mm long. Female inflorescences axillary, in compacted cymose-paniculate glomerules; peduncles 2.5-7 mm long. Male flowers subsessile; sepals 4, valvate, connate at base, dimorphic, hoodlike, or upside-down L-form of inner ones, fimbriate at upper margins, slightly corniculate at to just below apex; stamens 4; pistil rudimentary. Female flowers with 3 sepals; sepals connate at base, subequal, cymbiform; staminodes 3.
• Achenes laterally compressed, obliquely ellipsoid.

Flowering and fruiting July to November.

分布

• 台灣 : small ravines, 1,200-2,100 m.
