形態特徵

• A suffrutescent herb 1.2-1.8 m high; stems mostly erect.
• Leaves alternate, coriaceous, broadly rhomboidal to oblong-lanceolate, the apex caudate-acute, the base oblique, 15-25 cm long, 8-14 cm wide, the margins serrulate, 3-nerved at base, hairy on both surfaces; petioles short; stipules intrapetiolar.
• Flowers dioecious, very minute; receptacles of male flowers succulent, those of female flowers small, hairy; stigma penicillate; ovules erect.
• Achenes broadly ovate; seeds without endosperm; the testa membranaceous; cotyledons ovate.

flowering time from April to June.

分布

• 台灣 : in thickets from the northern to southern parts of the island.
• 世界 : Distributed in the Himalayas.
