形態特徵

• Perennial herbs; stems suberect or ascending, somewhat hirtellous at first, soon glabrescent.
• Leaves chartaceous, somewhat hirtellous, narrowly asymmetrical-elliptic to obliquely ovate, to 20 cm long, 1.5-7.0 cm wide, basiscopic half rounded, margins entire on lower 1/3 of basiscopic half and lower 1/2 of acroscopic half, otherwise dentate to crenate, sometimes entire throughout, apex long acuminate to long caudate, entire, to 5 cm long; petioles 0-2 mm long; stipules subulate, 2-5 mm long.
• Inflorescences 1-2 at nodes, discoid; male inflorescences ellipsoid, peduncles hirtellous, 1-5 cm long; female inflorescences ellipsoid, sessile or subsessile; bracts free or connate at base in male inflorescences, connate into an asymmetrical involucre with 6 teeth in female inflorescences. Male flowers short pedicellate; bracteoles semi-transparent, cymbiform; sepals 5, connate at base. Female flowers pedicellate; bracteoles linear; sepals rudimentary; staminodes 5; ovary ovoid.
• Achenes ovoid, ca. 1 mm long.

分布

• 台灣 : low to medium altitudes, mostly growing along streams in ravines, sometimes on moist forest floors or in rocky places.
