形態特徵

• Perennial herbs; stems terete, pendent or ascending, nearly glabrous.
• Leaves membranaceous to chartaceous, slightly hirsute above, sparsely minute-hirtellous beneath, asymmetrically narrow elliptic to elliptic, to 15 cm long, less than 5 cm wide, basiscopic half acute to rounded, margins very sparsely ciliolate, sharply serrate, apex with an entire acumine; petioles to 5 mm long; stipules lanceolate-cymbiform, ca. 5 mm long, 1-nerved, glabrous above, minutely hirtellous beneath.
• Female inflorescences subquadrangular, sessile or subsessile; bracts slightly puberulent, connate into an involucre to 10 mm long, 2.5 mm wide. Female flowers short pedicellate; bracteoles semitransparent, subquadrangular; sepals 3, subequal, triangular; staminodes 3; ovary ellipsoid.
• Achenes conspicuously 8-ribbed, ellipsoid.

分布

• 台灣 : at low to medium altitudes, mostly in ravines or on moist forest floors near ravines.
• 世界 : Mainland China, Himalaya, Indo-china and Indonesia.
